What will happen, if Chief Secretary of UP does not seek an extension?

Some UP IAS officials are pondering upon what will happen if SP Goyal does not seek an extension himself, or if CM Yogi does not write to the Centre requesting an extension for him. In such a scenario, Uttar Pradesh could get a new Chief Secretary in the middle of the election process. In that case, some names of senior IAS officers are already in circulation.
