WCL’s Tiranga Rally echoes the spirit of patriotism and national unity
Nagpur: As part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign being organised to commemorate Independence Day, Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) organised a grand Tiranga Rally from its Headquarters in Nagpur on August 13. Filled with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm, the rally witnessed wholehearted participation of officers and employees of WCL Headquarters.
All officers and employees assembled at the WCL Headquarters and collectively recited ‘Vande Mataram’. WCL CMD Dr Hemant Sharad Pande spoke about the glorious history of the National Flag, the saga of India’s freedom struggle, and paid tribute to the freedom fighters, remembering their sacrifices and contributions. He said that the Tricolour is a symbol of the unity, pride, sacrifice and national aspirations of India. Dr. Pande urged everyone to hoist the Tricolour at their homes as part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. Highlighting WCL’s contribution to nation-building, he said that WCL plays an important role in strengthening the country’s energy security and industrial development through coal production. Coal produced by WCL through safe and scientific mining supports power generation, industries and several critical sectors of the Indian economy. He said that every employee of WCL is contributing to nation-building through their work and dedication.
Dr. Pande flagged off the Tiranga Rally and also personally led it. Director (Finance) Bikram Ghosh, Director Technical (Operations) Sandeep Paranjape, and Chief Vigilance Officer Ajay Madhukar Mhetre, along with other senior officials of WCL, were present and accompanied CMD Dr. Pande during the rally. The participating officers and employees enthusiastically raised patriotic slogans and conveyed the message of national pride, unity and patriotism.
