UP reshuffles nine IPS officers, changes SPs in seven districts UPDATED

Uttar Pradesh government has reshuffled nine IPS officers, resulting in changes in the SPs of seven districts.

B.B.G.T.S. Murthy, who was serving as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Jhansi, has been appointed as the new SSP of Meerut.

Vikas Kumar, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Balrampur, has been promoted and posted as the new SSP of Jhansi.

Vineet Jaiswal, SP of Gonda, has been transferred as the new SP of Sultanpur.

Abhishek, who was serving as SP of Bijnor, has been appointed as the new SP of Gonda.

Krishna Kumar, the SP of Sambhal, has been posted as the new SP of Bijnor.

Vikas Chandra Tripathi, who was serving as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Barabanki, has been appointed as the new SP of Sambhal.

Martand Prakash Singh, formerly the ASP of Hardoi, has been posted as the new Superintendent of Police of Balrampur.

In addition, Mrs. Charu Nigam has been appointed as SP, UP-112, Lucknow, while Avinash Pandey has been attached as SP, Police Headquarters, Lucknow.
