Telangana DGP announces personnel rationalisation and ₹90-crore savings

Telangana DGP C.V. Anand said the police department's HR audit and rationalisation exercise had produced approximately ₹90 crore in savings. The measures reportedly included bringing 376 police personnel who had been assigned to retired officials back into active duty and rationalising vehicle-personnel resources. The Greyhounds and OCTOPUS units were also affected by allowance rationalisation.
