Shortage of IPS officers in Odisha

Odisha is facing a shortage of IPS officers with the strength of officers going well below the sanctioned strength. The authorised IPS strength of Odisha is195 officers but presently there are only 132 officers, leaving 63 vacancies which is among the highest in the country.
