Praveen Chakravarty & Alankar Sawai are the two men behind Rahul Gandhi's "Vote Chori" Campaign
Praveen Chakravarty, Chairman of the Congress Data Analytics Department and All India Professionals’ Congress, leads the party’s voter fraud investigations. Appointed by Rahul Gandhi in 2017, Chakravarty—a former Wall Street analyst—built the analytical framework supporting Congress’s claims of voter list manipulation. His team spent six months manually analyzing Election Commission data, identifying patterns such as duplicate voters and fake addresses, and innovated Project SHAKTI to connect grassroots party workers for electoral data collection.
Working closely is Alankar Sawai, a former ICICI executive and Gandhi’s personal secretary, who manages research, documentation, and strategic content. Sawai’s team prepares detailed presentations for press conferences and is credited with tracking technical evidence, including cases like the Brazilian model’s repeated identity use in
voter rolls. Party insiders describe Sawai as wielding significant influence within Gandhi’s inner circle and overseeing the research behind Congress’s “H-Files” public expose.
Both men have helped transform Congress’s campaign strategy by fusing corporate-style analytics and opposition research with traditional political mobilization.
