Govt likely to call Special Parliament Session

If sources are to be believed, the Government is pondering over the options whether to call a Special Session of Parliament or not. Sources said it depends on the outcome of the diplomatic delegations touring to various countries and exposing the terror link of Pakistan and the ‘Operation Sindoor’ to the World. If the session is called, leaders of various delegations may be given prominence to present the Modi Government's views, which many oppose. It is said that if all goes according to ruling dispensation the session may be convened between June 20 and June 25. But there is no official confirmation.

Is Congress softening its stance on Shashi Tharoor?

Congress appears to be taking a more conciliatory approach toward Shashi Tharoor over his remarks on Operation Sindoor. Despite criticism from party leaders like Udit Raj, Pawan Khera, and Jairam Ramesh, the central leadership has decided not to pursue disciplinary action, because Tharoor has recently explained his comments. Though excluded from Congress-recommended delegations abroad, he was independently picked by the Centre, further irritating party leaders. This approach is similar to how Congress has handled things in the past, suggesting they might be trying to avoid conflict with the high-profile MP. SW
