Akash Anand returns to BSP with key role

Mayawati's nephew, Akash Anand, has rejoined BSP politics and is now the Chief National Coordinator. Earlier, he was removed from the party on grounds of indiscipline. His sudden return on senior post has sparked discussions in political circles. Many believe Mayawati took this step to connect more with the youth and improve the party’s election planning. It is also being seen as her way of preparing a trusted family member to take charge in the future. Akash’s return shows BSP’s efforts to rebuild and stay relevant in changing political times.

Is Cong not getting INDIA bloc support?

Congress is reportedly not getting support from the partners of INDIA bloc on the issue of international diplomatic visit of MPs. The Government picked the MPs of various opposition parties, but only one party nominated MP was included. This has irked the Congress, but no INDI alliance is coming to support the Congress. They seem to be happy with the Government's move. TMC, DMK SS(UBT), RJD and other bloc  members did not object to this.

Vice President Dhankhar, lone crusader against judiciary

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is not happy with the India judiciary. During the last two months he expressed his displeasure about the reported corruption in the judiciary. At a function in New Delhi on Monday, he questioned the delay in lodging of an FIR in the cash discovery case involving high court judge Justice Yashwant Varma in March this year. Dhankhar also asserted "time has come to revisit" the Supreme Court judgment that ruled prior sanction would be required to prosecute top court and high court judges. The Vice President is annoyed with the top court when the Court advises the President to clear the pending bills within a stipulated time frame. At that time he, as a Chairman RS, questioned the Court advice and said that it seems the Court is above the Parliament. As per experts, Dhankhar is the lone crusader in this govt who openly expressing his views against judiciary.
