KPSC probe placed under court-monitored SIT headed by DGP Alok Kumar

The Karnataka High Court has ordered a court-monitored SIT headed by senior IPS officer DGP Alok Kumar to investigate alleged large-scale irregularities in KPSC recruitment; the SIT has been given 100 days and must submit progress reports every 30 days. The court also directed cooperation with the ED. This puts the incumbent state DGP directly at the centre of a high-profile investigation and gives the police leadership a new institutional responsibility.
