Heightened security and vigilance at LoC after intrusion by suspected Pak drone

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri sector have heightened aerial and ground vigilance following the detection of a suspected Pakistani drone along the Line of Control (LoC). Tracked moving toward the strategic Mangalnar-Dabrote axis, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) triggered immediate counter-intelligence protocols and localized search operations.

While official confirmation regarding the drone’s precise payload or recovery remains pending, defense analysts suspect two primary motives: reconnaissance mapping of Indian forward posts or an attempted dropping of arms, narcotics, or funds to support local militant networks. Repeated low-altitude incursions along the LoC in recent months highlight an evolving gray-zone strategy aimed at testing radar detection limits and probing vulnerabilities in regional air defense networks.

In response, Indian forces have deployed specialized anti-drone technology, intensified night patrolling, and alerted local intelligence networks along the Rajouri-Poonch belt. Ground units continue sweeping suspected landing zones to rule out successful supply drops.
