Contenders for Chief Secretary’s post in Uttar Pradesh?

Leading the race is senior IAS officer, Alok Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industrial Development Department. If Alok Kumar is appointed, he would have nearly three years in office, giving him sufficient time. This is one factor that puts him in a stronger position than the other contenders.

Additional Chief Secretary of the Sugar Industry and Cane Development Department Veena Kumari Meena, CM Yogi’s Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Prasad, and Census Commissioner of India Mrityunjay Kumar Narayan are also among the contenders.
