Coal India production down, but supply goes up

Maharatna PSU, Coal India reported August production down 5.7% YoY to 47.5 MT, but supplies/offtake rose 5.5% to 60.6 MT; April–August production was down 4.5%, while offtake was up 6.7%. This points to a continuing emphasis on supply availability despite production pressure.
