Assam govt promotes/ transfers 41 police officers

The Assam govt on Friday promoted and transferred several senior police officials. Those promoted and transferred include-

Ratna Singha, (SPS 2009), Deputy Inspector General of Police (SB), Assam to officiate as Inspector General of Police (SB), Assam.

Bijoy Giri Kuligam, (SPS-2009), Deputy Inspector General of Police (WR), Bongaigaon has been promoted as Inspector General of Police (BTAD), Kokrajhar.

Vivek Raj Singh, (IPS 2006), Inspector General of Police (T&AP), Assam and Inspector General of Police (BTAD), Kokrajhar has been relieved from the additional charge of IGP (BTAD), Kokrajhar.

Dr. V. Siva Prasad Ganjala, (IPS 2005), IGP (Logistics), Assam and addl. charge of IGP (CR), Nagaon & I/C DIG (HR), Diphu to IGP (NR).

Kangkan Jyoti Saikia, (IPS SPS- 2008) IGP, (SB), Assam has been transferred as Inspector General of Police (ER), Jorhat.

Satya Raj Hazarika, (IPS SPS- 2005), IGP (NER), Tinsukia and addl. charge of IGP (ER), Jorhat has been relieved from the additional charge of Inspector General of Police (ER), Jorhat.

Prasanta Sagar Changmai, (IPS SPS-2005), IGP (NR), Tezpur is transferred and posted as IGP, Fire & Emergency Services, Assam.

Devojyoti Mukherjee, (IPS SPS - 2005), IGP (Border), Assam and IGP, Fire & Emergency Services, Assam is relieved from the additional charge of IGP, Fire & Emergency Services, Assam.

Dr. Robin Kumar, (IPS RR-2013), Senior Superintendent of Police, Darrang to Deputy Inspector General of Police, (MPC), Assam.

Gautam Borah, (IPS-2013), SSP (Border-I), is allowed to officiate as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Border), Assam.

Amrit Bhuyan, (IPS SPS-2013), Deputy Director, Fire & Emergency Services, Assam is allowed to officiate as Deputy Inspector General of Police (SB), Assam.

Sudhakar Singh, (IPS SPS-2013), SP, Dhemaji to DIG (NER), Tinsukia.

Ranjan Bhuyan, (IPS SPS-2013), Spl. Senior Superintendent of Police, CID, Assam to DIP (Security), Assam. He will also hold the charge of DIG (CID), Assam.

Pranabjyoti Goswami, (IPS SPS-2013), Assistant Inspector General of Police (Admn.), Assam to DIG (Admn.), Assam.

Rajen Singh, (IPS SPS-2013), SSP, Golaghat to DIG, CR/HR.

Y.T. Gyatso, (IPS RR–2010), DIG (MPC), Assam is transferred and posted as DIG, WR.
