"Hindu Rashtra? "

The CBSE has reportedly decided to remove several chapters on the medieval history and political science syllabii of Classes 11 and 12 by the NCERT.
Deletion of medieval history will rob it of its consistency and continuity deleting rise of Islamic empires in Afro-Asian territories, the chronicles of Mughal courts and industrial revolution.
Who will worship Shankaracharya, Guru Nanak , Islamic sufi saints ,Surdas,Tulsidas and several great saints of south India, where Bhakti movement actually originated during the medieval period?
If, the decision makers feel that this initiative will fast-track converting secular India into a " a theocratic state", they are sadly mistaken. Is this a prelude to making India a Hindu Rashtra?
Is this not anti-Constitutional? Secularism is a part of the Preamble.
A regressive, retrograde, divisive and a misguided step triggered by the sense of misadventurism.
I would urge our Prime minister to re-visit the sensitive decision and ponder over it after consulting the stakeholders.

Doctors should follow the basic principle of medical line

It is a high time medical line (doctors) follows its basic principle for which it was made, i.e. to serve the needy, old and vulnerable and rise above the business mindset in the medical profession.

2024 will be janta election

I beg to disagree with N.Saboos views regarding Rahul Gandhi harassment & jail etc. 2024 will see many surprises infinite, because this will be janta or voters election, they will decide the fate. Indian democracy is emerging in true spirits, voters are impatient expect delivery & results that too fast, mark my words, a New India will be born. The present dispensation has no achievements to show by then.

Nidhi jain article on Rahul Gandhi is legally and morally correct but politically a dangerous thought for the BJP. Due importance and harassment for Rahul Gandhi and putting him effectively as face of opposition in 2024 is a successful strategy of BJP. Prime minister Mr Modi strategic thoughts for country and party are ahead by 10 yrs vis a vis Congress and opposition so 2024 and 2029 BJP victory is certain.

The leader should appeal to higher courts for relief

Very well said! The leader has to appeal to the higher courts for relief. Instead, his party is targeting the Government of India for no fault of theirs and the functioning of Parliament is daily being affected.

Congress used to think above law

Yes, I fully agree with the views expressed by Ms Nidhi. Gone are the days when a group of Congress party used to think themselves above law. This is a new India where all are treated as common man. Nobody will be allowed to take law in their hands. Investigation agencies are doing their best to nab corrupt people. Let us welcome their effort and make India corruption free.

Can opposition unity be forged

A meeting of 18 opposition parties was held at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge following Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification. However, opposition unity is still a distant dream. But at least opposition leaders are sitting together and probably BJP must have also realized that Rahul’s disqualification has brought opposition closer. It remains to be seen if opposition unity can be forged or not.

Treat Rahul Gandhi as common man

It is high time India should treat Rahul Gandhi as common man which he is as he no longer hold any position or power as of today expect the surname Gandhi. Stop treating Gandhi as extraordinary and stop making hue and cry over a simple disqualification which is the order of the court. If he is not satisfied, he has all the options to challenge the order in higher court.

Rahul’s disqualification

Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification and subsequent nationwide protests by Congress will keep the political atmosphere hot unless a higher court stays the lower court’s order and Rahul’s membership is restored. Congress is trying to derive political mileage out of this issue and even those opposition parties who were critics of Congress like TMC, AAP have extended support to Rahul. Rahul’s disqualification could in this way prove to be a blessing in disguise for forging opposition unity.

Courts decide the law of the land

Courts decide the law of the land. Judicial decision should be respected and followed always. No one is above the court.

For democracy to survive, respecting the opponent is essential

If calling someone thief is defamatory, what about labelling someone as Mir Jafar and many other objectionable names and titles. Some think that more they abuse their opponents more kudos they will get from the bosses in the party. The language used by some is so horrible crossing all boundaries of decency good manners and civilized behaviour. It shocks when a few ministers or ex ministers and party seniors attack an opposition leader in such aggressive manner and bad language. Is this the democracy we are proud of .Lace your attack with lies ,lies and more lies ,make it more and more bitter to demoralise the other person so that mentally and physically he becomes unfit to challenge you. Democracy to survive needs not only educated people but men and women of character who respect their opponents.

RTI applicants demanding answer in grab of seeking information

It is very common to come across RTI applications demanding answers to questions in the garb of seeking information. Many new officers who have no experience on dealing with the RTI Applications fall in the trap and start explaining to the RTI Applicant. Thank for providing the legal basis of dealing with such applications which want something beyond information.
