More than one dozen officials, including IAS and IPS officers, have reportedly applied for the post of the Chairman, Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB). PSEB is yet to arrange an interview for the post. Some of the important officials who  have applied include -L N Gupta, ex-IAS and currently Member(Technical),NCLAT, L K Verma, ex- IAS, Jaideep Govind, Secretary General, NHRC, Ravi Kanth, ex-IAS, Ravi Capoor, Secretary, Ministry of Textile, A K Srivastava,ex-IAS, J K Sharma, ex-IPS and Member, Delhi Disaster Management Authority, S K Goyal, ex- ICAS officer, K C Das,ex-Director, Pers, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam, V K Gupta, ED, ONGC, Gajendra Singh, ex- Director, marketing, GAIL, Biswajit Roy, Director, OIL and Rajiv Sharma, Chairman, Power Finance Corporation. Incidentally, Venkatesh, MD, MRPL, has not applied for the post of Chairman, PNGRB ?
