Monday was a hectic day for the govt because a high power committee was to select the new CBI Director. PM chaired the meeting. CJI and Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, Congress leader in LS attended the meeting as members. If sources are to be believed last week shortlisted 107 names were sent to members. It is said that Congress leader on Monday forenoon received a panel of 10 names, in the afternoon revised panel of 6 and when he reached at the PM's residence, a panel of of 3 names was reportedly put up for the consideration. Congress leader reportedly expressed displeasure on the development and put up dissent note.
