First Utpal Mukhopadhyay Memorial Oration at Dallas on Jan 26 (UPDATED)

The first Utpal Mukhopadhyay Memorial Oration will be held on January 26, 2021, at 6 PM Indian Standard Time. The first orator is Professor Sumit Majumdar, of the University of Texas at Dallas, who will talk from his forthcoming works about all the Indian members of the ICS that have covered every pertinent dimension of their participation in India’s governance. The title of his presentation is ‘Friends and Family: ICS Bengal, 1863-1943,’ and it will form the basis of a focused and dynamic digital adda. It will be held on Zoom. After retirement he served in the private sector as Managing Director of the Tata Housing Development Company Ltd., in Bombay
