Bank staff essential service providers yet can’t board Mumbai suburban trains says AISBOF

The All India State Bank Officers’ Federation has stated that suburban trains have resumed operations in Mumbai, allowing “essential services providers”, which has been hailed as a landmark decision.  But, the Federation came to know that list of “essential services providers” does not include bank employees. “In this context, we would like to draw your kind attention to the fact that banks are declared as essential service provider by the Ministry of Home Affairs, and have been providing uninterrupted banking services since the lockdown was announced on March 23,” it has stated.
