IAS officers of 1984 batch of Assam- Meghalaya cadre are lucky officers. Presently two officers are Chief Secretaries and remaining two are Secretaries in GoI. Ajay Kumar Bhalla and K V Eapen are designated HS and Secretary, DoPT respectively in GoI. Aalok Kumar and Parmarsan S. Thangkhiew are posted as CS of Assam and Meghalaya . AM cadre has only four 1984 batch IAS officers .
